BEFT Special Event
online - March 24th 2022

All proceeds will be donated to the Ukrainian Association of Emotionally Focused Therapy - see below for more details.

All BEFT members are invited and booking is via Eventbrite [click here for tickets].

We will gather together at 6 p.m. and then have two sessions:

Neurodiversity Interest Group session: Reflecting on EFT and Neurodiversity

We consider ourselves to be a group constantly learning about Neurodiversity and EFT and we invite you to explore with us as we reflect on questions such as "How might we need to adjust our EFT practice when working with Neurodiverse clients" and "What do we need to be aware of in working with Neurodiverse clients".  We'll start with a short set of ideas about how we understand Neurodiversity and then use a reflecting team to talk through questions such as those above.  We'll then open the floor to participants and explore their questions and ideas together as a group.

Presenters:  Fiona Pusey, Seerit Khan, Judy James, Tracey Williams, Sarah McConnell

Diversity and Intersectionality Interest Group session: Knowing Me Knowing You

How much I know me impacts how much I get to know you, and understand my impact on you.
Bring your curiosity and explore with us our unique identity in the context of the Social Graces and Intersectionality.
Starting with a short presentation, following with sharing in small groups and a brief reflection in the large group.
Presenters: Janine Murray, Sophie Parry-Williams, Sandra Taylor

Following the sessions we will have some closing time together.
The opening and closing time will be led by Michael and Kate.

All BEFT members are invited and booking is via Eventbrite [click here]. You are asked to make a donation of between £5 and £20 and all proceeds will go to the running costs of the BEFT Centre. Events such as this enable us to continue to have free membership for BEFT Centre members.
Note: the event will not be recorded.

All proceeds will be donated to the Ukrainian Association of Emotionally Focused Therapy who have sent out an SOS to the international EFT Community for help:
Dear Colleagues!
Terrible things are happening in my country. It is impossible to watch parents die in front of their children. It is incredibly painful to see a blown up maternity hospital with dead newborn children and pregnant women. People are losing their families and homes right now. Ukrainian therapists receive thousands of calls for help, but we do not know how to help, because we have never experienced such horrors before.
That’s why, we need help in training Ukrainian therapists:
• programs to help families and children (individually) during the war and during the recovery period
• an algorithm for working with families during the current crisis and during the recovery period
• supervision for our psychotherapists
Ukrainian therapists work around the clock with people. They do it for free. But our strength and financial resources are running out. That is why we need financial support from you.
If you or your organization can help with this, please transfer your donation to the account of the Ukrainian Association of Emotionally Focused Therapy at the link: https://secure.wayforpay.com/button/be20348685470
If you have any questions or suggestions, you can write to my email address: il-g@i.ua or WhatsApp (+380674651368)
With warmth and hope for your support,

President of the Emotionally Focused Therapy Association
Inna Garbuz
